Jerome Green’s experience includes bringing health services into the homes of frail elderly, serving as a Gerontologist, Social Worker with a case load of 120 elder persons, leading workshops/sessions for nurse’s assistants, and developing new programs and activities for the elderly.

As a gerontologist, Green assists elder persons in increasing their affective, behavioral, and cognitive leisure awareness. He develops effective leisure activities and evaluation methodologies that enhance the elder person’s leisure experience and well being.

With over 30 years of experience in the field of insurance--selling such intangibles as annuities, pensions, business continuations, groups, health, and life insurance--Green uses management policies and procedures designed to reduce the insurance costs for agencies, small businesses and individuals. Green’s other skills include coordinating and providing professional services, such as seminars on long-term care and group insurance.

Green’s Leisure Gerontology Program is the result of his research during his Master’s program. It has been developed and refined as a program that will lead to the optimum mental well being of the elder persons.
